Tonight
is the second Backlot, beware guys. It is going to be TIGHT!!! C'mon, what's a better way to spend your Friday
night then listening to great music (Not that I'm bragging or anything...), watching your friends do really stupid
stuff for a hundred bucks, it's awesome!!! I was at worship practice last night when I bumped into the hispanic youth
group and I invited them, so we should have a bunch of cool people comin'.
I've been
corresponding with Julianna, a girl my parents met while they were in Russia. We share thoughts, jokes, this and that,
but we also talk about what God has shown us recently. Here is what she wrote a few days ago, and I thought it was awesome,
so I've decided to share it with you.
I
also think that we get dissapointed or discouraged, dissatisfied because usually in all we do we seek pleasure for ourselves,
we seek gaining profit from people, events or anything else. We want to be happy and sometimes it seems as having lots of
things or being popular in a party or anything of this kind can fully satisfy us. The truth is that Only God can fully satisfy
us. We shouldn't look for that outside God. We need to look inside HIs Heart and be very attentive to see and hear and understand
the longings of His Heart, We need to look at our life here on the Earth the way God thinks about it. It is very different
from what most people are sure this life is all about.
Having
the same attitude as Jesus had, completelly unselfish, sacrifycing and loving toward others. The attitude of a servent who
didn't want to please Himself, but God the Father. Jesus never felt dissapointed or dissatisfied or angry or hurt by people
because His Goal was never to be happy but to make happy others, to bring them the Light of God's Truth and the Precious Salvation
from sins.
If we would try to serve others, think about needs of others, If we only love them, we will want to do all we can to make
them happy!!! We will have a desire to share the Light of God's Truth and the Precious Salvation from sins! We will be the
Salt and the witness for this world die-ng under the preassure of satan's work which makes people so sinful, proud, self-assured,
God-resisting, selfish, angry, dissapointed and on and on it goes.
as in the verse you shared "Be excellent at what is good, be innocent of evil"
that reminded me another verses which are:
*Let us
not become tired of doing good;
for if
we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.
So then,
as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone,
and especially
those who belong to our family in the faith.*
Galatians
6:9-10.
Love must
be sincere.
Hate what
is evil;
cling
to what is good.
Romans
12:9-10.
